The Irish Express

You don’t have to be from Ireland to appreciate their music! Just as everybody is Irish on St. Patrick’s Day, so the magic of the music colors the outlook of those who listen with a tinge of Kelly Green.

John Connors
A lifelong musician, John founded the Irish Express along with Martin. John sings leads and harmonies and plays a myriad of instruments, among them guitar, accordian, tin whistle, mandolin and synthesizer. John is originally from Kilmaine, County Mayo. You can hear it in his voice.

Martin Battle
Martin, formerly of Mullingar, County Westmeath, is the other half of the Irish Express. His contributions to the Irish Express include lead and background vocals, bass, rhythm guitar, harmonica and synthesizer. He has played with a few top bands in Ireland including the Smokey Mountain Ramblers and Larry Cunningham.
