BUS SCHEDULE

Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) provides scheduled routes that connect the 15 communities on the Cape. CCRTA Fixed schedule routes include service to Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Hyannis, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet and Yarmouth.
ACTIVITIES
BIKING
Biking is a great activity for the whole family. Some of our favorites bike trails:
Cape Cod Canal
Located on the canal, level, wide paved road with no vehicles, approximately 7 miles.
Cape Cod Rail Trail
Starts in Dennis near Route 134 and continues through Harwich and Brewster.
Province Lands Trail
A paved 5 mile loop through the dunes with great views of Provincetown and the Atlantic Ocean.
Shining Sea Path
Located in Falmouth, the path follows the former Penn Central Railroad line
THE ISLANDS
Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard are a short ferry trip from the Cape. The Hy-Line ferry is located in Hyannis on the ocean street docks. Departing from Woods Hole, you could also take the Steamship Authority ferry.
KAYAKING
What a unique way to see the Cape and experience its natural beauty. Great Marsh Kayak Tours offers many different packages.
HARBOR CRUISES
Bay Spirit Tours offers a Lighthouse Harbor Tour that will take you over towards the historic Kennedy Compound, as well as a Sunset Cruise departing daily from the Ocean Street docks in Hyannis. They also offer a charter service for larger groups.
WHALE WATCHING
Viewing a whale in open water is an awesome sight you will not forget. Cruises leave daily from Barnstable Harbor and Provincetown. Check at the front desk for coupons. You can also check out Hyannis Whale Watcher or the Dolphin Fleet.
FISHING & CHARTERS
Catch a big fish story to bring home while on the Cape. There are also a few boats that can be chartered down at the Ocean Street docks.
MUSIC & THEATER
Every summer the Cape Cod Melody Tent offers a great lineup of live music and comedians. Check out the historic Cape Playhouse too!
MINI-GOLF
Steve & Sue’s Par-Tee Freeze & Lightning Falls Mini Golf is located a mile down the road. In Yarmouth, there’s Pirates Cove, a long time favorite, Skull Island Adventure Golf & Sports World (that also has batting cages, a video arcade and a golf driving range) and Wild Animal Lagoon to name a few.
SHOPPING
There’s the old reliable, Cape Cod Mall, but don’t forget The Christmas Tree Shops and Route 6A for antiquing and art galleries. There’s also wonderful local shops and restaurants within walking distance on historic Main Street in Hyannis.
BARNSTABLE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
The Barnstable County Fair is a great activity for the whole family. The fair runs for a week at the end of July every year.
